Cost of a Jewelry Appraisal
The cost of the appraisal depends upon the difficulty of the item or the purpose of the appraisal.
Cost of Appraisals: $100 for 1st item and $75-$85/each additional item.
- Some antique items, vintage or designer pieces requiring more extensive research
- Items set with numerous gemstones of different sizes, cutting styles & qualities
- Appraisals for different purposes on the same jewelry item, e.g., insurance & fair market value for donation
One plot (diagram of clarity features in a diamond) is included in the price. Each additional plot is $5.00. Plots are usually only made for diamonds weighing 1.00 carat & over.
An additional $1.00 per photograph & a mail charge is figured into the final cost. Most items have one to three photographs taken.

Pre-purchase consultation worksheet can be performed on loose gemstones only. Cost $65.00.
